Co-founder and editor at Societide, Marielle decided to become anthropologist after a brief (and rocky) experience in the corporate world. Proud Occitan-Pyrenean woman, her research focus on colonialism, patriarchy and state violence. She is strongly attached at decolonizing our concept of knowledge, and revitalize people’s pride in their capacity to resist neoliberal and colonial states.

For the last 600 years, prejudices and biases based on people's racialisation have plagued Europe and the rest of the world. Far from being an inevitable phenomenon, racism emerged and spread from intentional political practices rooted in an imperialist logic of domination.
